The Tampa Bay Buccaneers suffered another disappointing loss in Week 2, and Evan Winter breaks down the biggest problems exposed by the Buccaneers' performance against the Cleveland Browns. After two weeks, the Bucs are dealing with serious questions about Todd Bowles, offensive coordinator Zach Robinson, Baker Mayfield and a pass rush that continues to struggle to generate pressure. Evan starts with Todd Bowles and his approach to correcting the Buccaneers' problems. Tampa Bay's mistakes have continued to pile up, including penalties, turnovers, missed tackles, busted coverages, dropped passes and miscommunication. The concern is that these aren't simply isolated mistakes — they are part of a larger process problem. Zac Robinson also comes under the microscope after another questionable game of offensive play sequencing. The Buccaneers have been able to run the ball effectively at times with Bucky Irving, but the offense continues to move away from the run game and put too much responsibility on Baker Mayfield. Mayfield also struggled again through the air, particularly on deeper throws. The Buccaneers haven't consistently created opportunities downfield, and the combination of poor passing execution and questionable play sequencing has left the offense searching for answers. Defensively, Alex Anzalone is another major concern after struggling in coverage and missing tackles. Evan discusses whether the Buccaneers should consider rotating more players at inside linebacker and potentially moving the green dot to Antoine Winfield Jr. The pass rush is another major problem. Vita Vea, Yaya Diaby and Rueben Bain Jr. combined for just two pressures, with Vea and Bain failing to record a pressure. After all the offseason hype surrounding Bain, the rookie has now gone two games without generating a pressure despite showing tremendous potential during training camp and joint practices. There were a few positives, including Bucky Irving, Chris Godwin, Cade Otton, Chase McLaughlin and a Buccaneers secondary that has unexpectedly emerged as one of the better-performing units on the defense. But with the Minnesota Vikings coming to Tampa Bay next week, Evan explains why the Buccaneers have a lot of work to do — and why the problems exposed through two weeks are becoming increasingly difficult to ignore.
