He moved cities to take his opportunities with The Blues and The Highlanders, got an apprenticeship as a drain-layer down South, and started his business Apex Recruitment with his wife Georgia up North.
One of his biggest "mistakes" was playing a game of footy, when he didn't need to when he was on the cusp of possibly making the NZ Schools team.
