Peter and Webby jump into a conversation around how to decide what is metaphorical and what is literal when it comes to the words that Jesus spoke, Especially around the passage in John chapter 6.

Webby is going out of town so we got together to just have a little chat about faith. It ended up going much deeper than expected and was a great conversation.

The discussion around the "real presence" in the Eucharist continues with this side quest around Jesus' authority over and obligation to the law.

This one is kind of a tough discussion for Webby. It seems ultimately obvious that Jesus does appear to changed the law, but is that the same thing as abolishing it? If so, why did Jesus say specifically that he wasn't doing that.

Could they have believed that if it isn't acceptable for Christians to consume blood?

Ptony brings some notes on 1 Cor 11: 23-26 in order to facilitate a conversation on if the Apostles also believed that the Bread and Wine in communion was also the physical body of Christ.

Webby asked for receipts of the early church actually believing in the "true presence" of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.
