[ EXCERPTED FROM A DIGITAL COMMUNICATION FROM PROFESSOR ADLER KASSNER OF THE TERMINUS SCHOOL OF ARTS AND SCIENCES, TO A COLLEAGUE ]
While in my initial examinations of the beacon itself I have not been able to determine a function for the structure, it is clear there is some connection between this one and those that have sprung up elsewhere on Chandra: minute variations in the light output over time seem to be responding to similar fluctuations at other beacons, leading me to believe that it's likely they are somehow COMMUNICATING with one another. If that's the case, I'll be making significant revisions to my prior work on the possibilities of Remnant collectivity, which is bound to make waves in the field. As for the rest: honestly, I could do without the armed escort!! But of course, the opportunity to be one of the only researchers in the Sector to get a firsthand look and what is likely to be the most remarkable scientific event of the—decade? century? certainly one of the two—I think I can set my discomfort with firearms aside temporarily. This is the LAST thing I expected to encounter when I decided to take my leave this semester for fieldwork….
This week, on Tango Sector: Working once again with the Chosen of the Sacral Hollow, the crew of Pelagian must make their way past a Martinet patrol to investigate the source of one of the many mysterious Remnant beacons cropping up across the Sector. Melas catches up with some old buddies. Kala'ax provides backup. Flux takes a shot.
