The Battle of Kiev results in an initial Ukrainian victory, with the Ukraine reporting thousands of Russian casualties since the war began. The Russian advance continues in southern Ukraine, but the fortunes of war have turned against the Russian Army as Ukrainian refugees begin re-entering the country to join in the fight.
