SOmetimes people place sadness on a pedestal, as if it were a spiritual righteous feeling. In fact, it is a source of evil. When you see it coming, act with joy, count your blessings, and practice kindness.

We're willing to die for G-d. Our love for G-d is greater than love itself. Does G-d want us to give up our indulgences? If He does, I'm ready to comply.

Temptations abound. When I am willing to sacrifice my will for Him when I realize that my will, will whisk me away from Him. When these desires separate me from Him, it is time for self-sacrifice.

Penitence can be distorted. Enjoy now, repent later. This type of repentance is unacceptable, but remorse is. G-d always forgives.

To remove the grip of evil, remember how much you love G-d. When we focus more on G-d, the more natural it will be to completely serve Him.

I would give G-d my life. I can't give Him my desires. Somehow, giving to G-d my desires, why am I so irrational? I don't allow myself to realize that the disconnect at that moment is as severe as idol worship. I am that precious to G-d.

When we sense that our relationship is endangered, even by minor infractions of Halacha, we will feel strongly about how much we love G-d, so we will suppress these desires so as not to sacrifice our deep close connection with G-d.

Everyone has such a love for G-d buried deep inside. Once it is uncovered, I need to serve and be one with Hashem.

Our evil inclination has many strategies. Some of which are sluggishness and coldness. Using vigor and vitality in fulfilling Hashem's will helps combat this.

Self sacrifice is the daily obligation of the Jew. The Shema prayer expresses this.
