2020 has been a year filled with a lot of disappointment. There are so many plans that we have needed to be changed or canceled because of circumstances way beyond our control.
There are two important reasons that it is useful to tap for disappointment. First, it doesn't feel good to be disappointed. Second, if we spend too much time feeling disappointed we are training ourselves to believe that hope is a bad idea. It goes like this… We feel hopeful, our hopes are dashed, we feel disappointed, and then because we don't want to feel this again, we stop hoping.
