In this episode, we pick up from episode one and continued to talk with Derek Biggs and Mwenda Kudumu about their use of spirit in their family and combining different perspectives. We explore the possibility of Love as a universal and interacting with others from a place of no judgment no matter who or how they are.
Dr. Crisp talks with us about her unique methods for assisting others in their healing. She offers insights and useful interventions for healing the traumas that result from fear anger and sorrow. We discuss ways to tap into the energy of the Creator and stay in a place of positive affirmation.
In part one of this discussion, we are joined again by Derek Biggs and Mwenda Kudumu who come in to share more about the impact of spirituality extending this time to the family structure. We end up getting into some other topics related to politics and spirituality in addition to the impact that Race and Caste play in our approach to spirituality. We explore the concept of seeing God in everyone and what that really means in terms of those who are evil or who would come for us in a hostile manner.
In this episode we discuss the concept of power and the ability to utilize our spiritual force to produce change and create the world we want for ourselves. In processing the elements of the movie Soul we consider how this movie was created and process the messages that were evident in the movie. Throughout the discussion, we present challenging questions that allow one to consider spiritiual possibilities that maybe were not possible previously.
Discussed the etiology of religion and what is needed for a religion as well as the impact of myth on religion. We also touch on the science of ancient African spiritual systems and how they have been passed down to current traditions. Processed the concept of recognizing the Divine in us and what that means in terms of maximizing our potential for inspiration and ongoing growth. Lastly looked at the importance of emphasizing the inner work that is involved in the practice of yoga as opposed to the current contemporary focus on outer results.
In this session we discuss the process of moving into a different spiritual system and the challenges and benefits of this with Iyanifa Ifetayo Fakayode. We explore what its like to reorient your mind, breaking conditioning and habits that may keep us from fully connecting to spirit, and allow new ways of thinking to flow in. We also processed that this process does not require the total abandonment of previous patterns. Lastly discussed allowing people to be where they are recognizing that we each grow at our own pace.
Im joined by my good friend and colleague to discuss and philosophize about religion and spirituality and the manner in which it impacts us individually and collectively. We process the origins of being a spiritual cynic and the transformation to being a critical thinker capable of questioning and pondering the manifestation of spirit for us all. In the discussion we offer up challenging questions that deal with the fear and anxiety with questioning the known and unknown that has been ingrained in us since birth. This is the first of several conversations.
We discuss the concepts of the Toltec tradition with a member of Generation Z. We looked at the simple but complex concepts that make up the Toltec tradition and discuss the practical application of the various agreements in everyday life. We consider the possibility of life if everyone lived according to these principles. We also discuss the messages that come through spirit when we are tapped in and allowing ourselves to be quiet and listen to the guidance. We also discuss the concept of unconditional love and how this manifests in our world.
In part two of our conversation with Daphne Wright-Gilstrap we discuss the healing properties of crystals and her attraction to them at a young age. We discussed methods for utilizing various types of crystals and ways to clean them. We discussed the energy centers known as Chakras and their relationship to crystals. Lastly we discussed Integrated Energy Healing and the methods she uses to work with her clients.
We talked with Daphne Wright-Gilstrap about her foray into spirituality from a young girl. We discussed her ability to receive messages from the spirit world as a child and the progression of this ability into adulthood. Processed her work as a death dula helping people to transition to the spirit world and giving messages to those in the physical world from those in the spirit world. Discussed the concept of forgiveness from a spiritual perspective. FInally dicussed the ways that she receives and interprets messages from spirit and verification of this utilizing Evidence Based Mediumship.
