This past weekend, vandals struck the homes of eight city councilors who voted in favor of the city budget that was narrowly approved following calls to “defund the police.” One of those hit was City Councilor Annissa Essaibi-George, a former schoolteacher and mother of four. Her home was plastered with mock report cards scoring her vote on the issues of climate, equity, immigration, public safety and public transportation.
