Description: This course reviews basic safety knowledge and why it is so important with children who have speech and language disorders. It explains how to incorporate safety knowledge during speech therapy (Introductory Level, Professional Area).

As a result of this presentation the participant will be able to:  

1. identify basic safety knowledge for children.

2. identify reasons why basic safety knowledge is important to a child’s well being especially children with speech and language disorders.
3. describe how to incorporate basic safety knowledge into speech therapy goals.
