Taste and See

“I will praise You, for You have answered me, and have become my salvation” (Ps 118:21).

Once again “mercy and truth have met together” (Ps 85:10). Mercy makes us promises; truth keeps them.

For centuries Jews have broken bread and taken the cup of salvation without knowing the real reason.

God wants us to be real with Him. “For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust” (Ps 103:14).

Sometimes it seems, as in the case of Lazarus, that death triumphs over love. But love will win the field!

“Do not be afraid of [idols], for they cannot do evil, nor can they do any good” (Jer 10:5).

Just because you can’t get hills and rivers to respond when you speak, it doesn’t mean the Creator can’t!

We don’t naturally think that fear and delight would be in the same sentence (Ps 112:1). But they’re twins!
