So, apparently Frank was making a funny about the DNC being in Milwaukee in July. Ah well, I still appreciate my usual sources that send me links and screenshots, even if we did get punked ;) 300 episode 300 in 300 days - damn. 8 Fireside Chats in 8 days starting tonight. Double damn!

Oh my. What a day. Rach and I returned from Gary Con earlier today. Not as early as it would have been if taxis had been running as usual at LGA. Getting on the wrong Select Bus and heading towards 106 Street in Manhattan wasn't helpful. I think I'm coming down with some con crud. Frank M wants to do a con in July and needs organizers. I also think he needs more time - its in 4 months. And the return of Con Man Ken.

Rappan Athuk - The Mouth of Doom 3d Terrain was auction off at Gary Con earlier today. Tomorrow is my last day to run it. Ken Whitman gives the Spinward Traveller Kickstarter its first update in 2 1/2 years. You go Kenny!

We kicked off the Rappan Athuk: Mouth of Doom series of sessions at Gary Con this morning. The set up is a bit mixed up, but that's what happens when unionized demons are in charge of the renovations ;)

The Kotaku article on Gail Gygax went live today. It was supposed to be a fluff piece for Gail, but instead it makes her look paranoid and in need of some professional help. The two paragraphs on me were interestingly full of inaccuracies. The only Memorial Gary needs is Gary Con. 

We have voicemails from Jason Hobbs and Joethelawyer as well as an anonymous (but known by me) email regarding falling from grace. Why listen to me when you can listen to my betters :)

Yep, our reporter friend is back, now with secret screenshots of me making offensive jokes about Gail Gygax. As you might expect, I talk about the latest letter.

In tonight's Designer's & Makers Fireside Chat I sit down at the virtual bar with VBWyrde. VB has written his own RPG called Elthos but also a world building app / service called the Mythos Machine. Are we at fault, at least to some extent, for the inability of our gaming heroes to admit to their own faults, their human weaknesses and instead encourage them them to do everything they can to save their image, an image we as a community have helped to create, even if it means mistruths, misdirection and worse being told to that very community? They are, after all, simply human but we don't allow them to ask for that very human gesture - forgiveness.
