Tax time is only a week away, with a lot of changes coming to your super, and how your money is managed behind the scenes.

Regarding tax returns, Aspire Retire Financial Services' Olivia Maragna told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, "I think what you'll see is a lot more monitoring from the tax office".

"Look, as much as you want a nice big tax refund, you've got to keep in mind is the government is in revenue-raising mode."

"So, they are going to be scrutinising a lot more in the tax returns that we lodge this coming year," Maragna said.
