  • S1 E4 - When did you know you were an addict? - Addiction Part 1 - Guest: Amanda Anderson
My longtime friend Amanda joins us on the podcast today in the first of this two-part podcast! We start at the end of Amanda’s story with where she is at today and work our way backward in her story so that you know that there is ultimately hope and restoration in this testimony. This conversation is set up with a little more structure, but we may as well have just hit record on a voice memo because Amanda and I have a fairly normal conversation, puns, reality TV, sarcasm, and musicals included.
During the second half we take a turn and talk about church culture, dating, and Amanda’s first dose of prescription opioids all the way to the “a-ha” moment she had about her addiction and what she was going to do about it. I hope you enjoy our conversation.
Romans 8:28-30 28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good,[a] for those who are called according to his purpose. 29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30 And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.

  • S1 E3 - How do you pronounce Dostoevsky? - Guest: Tesia Blanton

Today my sweet friend Tesia joins the podcast and we talk about all things Russian literature, cozy readings, and she shares a story lesson on the English language itself. We discuss her favorite author, C.S. Lewis, all the ways that she has grown affection for him over the years, how his writings have affected our modern ideas of love, romance, and how Mr. Lewis helped to shape her relationship with God. We also discuss the beauty of the greatest book ever written, the Bible and how it, over any other type of book, can shape your identity. I hope you enjoy Tesia’s profound musings and decide to pick up a new book or two. Enjoy!

  • S1 E2 - What is there to like about Fall?

What is there to like? The better questions is what's not to like?! It is my favorite season of the year and I think there is so much to enjoy about this season. There is something so wonderful about crisp air, skinny jeans and blanket scarfs. Miss me with telling me I can't still wear my blanket scarf. They are timeless and I will fight you. From fall fashions and hot cocoa to Harry Potter vs Twilight. I am talking about all the things I love, things I am still figuring out and a big push for Gen Z to please go get your license.

Help me settle the great debate marshmallows or no marshmallows for your hot cocoa? Let me know @taylerasksaquestion

  • S1 E1 - What am I doing?

YOU GUYS IT'S HAPPENING!!!! In this maiden voyage episode I talk through my fears and insecurities of not knowing what I am doing and how I am just going to go for it. And I mention it a few times. No one is exempt from insecurity, even extroverted podcast hosts. ;) I am so thankful that you are here to take this journey with me and I promise the best is yet to come!

My hope is that these conversations will bring you joy, encourage you to lead out with compassion, help you discover the beauty in community, and most importantly that the Gospel of Jesus would go forth from this tiny corner of the world. Let’s start asking questions!
