Chang'e-7 is expected to launch from China's Wenchang spaceport during the second half of 2026, with its launch vehicle and spacecraft already at the site undergoing preparations.

The science alone is extraordinary. But the strategic significance could be much larger.

If usable deposits of lunar water can be located, extracted and processed, the Moon could begin changing from somewhere humans briefly visit into somewhere humans can actually remain — and China is positioning itself to become one of the countries capable of doing exactly that.

More than 2,500 people have now died in the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s Ebola outbreak, and the most disturbing number may be how quickly that total is rising.

The United Nations says roughly half of those deaths occurred during the past 20 days as the epidemic expands through an enormous swathe of the country.

The outbreak has become the largest recorded in the DRC and is being described by the UN as growing exponentially.

Agents served Swalwell with a search warrant after he arrived at San Francisco International Airport on Saturday, August 15, seizing electronic devices.

Federal agents then executed another search warrant at his Washington residence the following day. Swalwell has not been charged with a crime and has repeatedly denied allegations of sexual assault and misconduct.

Tottenham’s Incredible Spending Spree Continues

Tottenham have reportedly reached an agreement with Manchester City for Brazilian winger Savinho, with an initial £75 million fee potentially rising to £85 million. It is another huge statement from a club undergoing one of the most aggressive rebuilds in the Premier League.

Tottenham Hotspur’s extraordinary summer spending spree appears set to continue.

Spurs have reportedly agreed a deal with Manchester City to sign Brazilian winger Savinho, with Tottenham expected to pay £75 million initially plus another £10 million in potential add-ons.

The overall package could therefore reach £85 million.

Sky Sports, ESPN, Reuters and other reports all indicate that an agreement between the clubs has been reached. Around £5 million of the additional payments are understood to be relatively achievable, potentially guaranteeing Manchester City at least £80 million if the transfer proceeds as expected.

The deal is not yet the same thing as an officially completed transfer.

Neither club had formally announced Savinho's move at the time of writing, while the Brazilian is reportedly still expected to undergo a medical before completing the switch. One report says the 22-year-old is expected to sign a five-year contract with Tottenham.

But barring a late problem, Tottenham appear to have finally landed a player they have pursued for more than a year.

And the size of the deal says considerably more about Tottenham's ambitions than simply adding another winger.

Four years later, the tables have turned: Justice Department investigators are now seeking interviews with FBI officials involved in the operation as part of a much broader examination of whether government authorities improperly targeted Trump.

The requests are significant because they pull the August 2022 Mar-a-Lago search into an investigation that had previously appeared concentrated largely on government conduct surrounding Trump and Russia.

They do not prove that the search was unlawful, that FBI officials committed crimes or even that charges will ultimately be brought.

But they show that investigators are actively reconstructing how one of the most consequential law-enforcement actions ever taken against a former American president was authorised and executed.
