The world is telling us, 'there is nothing to celebrate this year.' But, they are so wrong. We remember and celebrate- God is in control, Christ is seated in heaven, and the Spirit is working in us. Let our celebration the rest of this year be a witness to the world-

You are alive, but are you thriving- There is a major difference and the world, apart from God, may be physically living, but does is not thriving. The only way we will live, grown, and thrive is in Him-

God does not called the qualified- he qualifies the called. It is an important distinction. We are called to -1- salvation and then -2- work for him--not based on our current qualifications. Rather, after our obedience will he provide the needed qualifications. No on in sculptures was called because of their qualifications--except Jesus Christ who was, and is, and will be both qualified and called-

The saved -wheat- are in the world -field- with the tares -unsaved-weeds- planted by the enemy -devil-. The Lord will send his harvesters -angles- back to separate the wheat from the weeds at the end of time. Tares look like wheat until when the fruit emerges and they are seen for what they are--poisonous bitter weeds- Are you wheat or weeds--only the Lord can change you-

Modern society has moved from making physical idols to ones hidden in our heart. Idols are- anything I put before God, anything I want with all my heart, anything I can't stop thinking of, anything I give all my love. To remove idols in our life, we must fill our lives with God. God will not share us, we must stop worshiping things -idols- that are not even worth it-

2020 has been a life changing year. It has been 6 months and 19 days since we were last -physically- together. What has changed in your life- I have a fear that we are wasting our lives- Consider the sermon I preached the last Sunday we physically met, -Redeeming the Time in the Face of Uncertainty- Things will not be better anytime soon. So what are we to do- We are to -1- live in the life you are given, -2- in the place you are, -3- with the people you have influence AND -4- Love the Lord while -5- loving others- That's it- Remember, '-Only one life, 'twill soon be past, Only what's done for Christ will last- -C. How are we to worship- In Spirit - Truth through prayers, communion, songs, offerings, scriptures, preaching - teaching, fellowship, and service. Worship is contained within these acts, not the reverse. We must worship Him because He deserves it, demands it and it is our duty--its why we are still here, to worship-

Jesus is Lord, that is he has total authority over us, whether we like it or not, or even know it. As a result all we have to do is submit to his Lordship. But too often we try to go it alone, forging our own way.

Why do we worship- Because He is the only one worth worshiping, He deserves its, He demands it. Who can worship- Only those who have been saved and received the spirit of the Lord.

Where should we worship--everywhere in Spirit and Truth. When should we worship--at all times as a constant lifestyle. Praise and worship cannot come from hearts filled with unconfessed sin.
