TB&P – The Beat & Path Podcast

The TB&P crew is joined in the dope house by MC and award winning spoken word artists G Yamazawa! Fresh on the heels of a nationwide tour the lyriacist talks about his journey to becoming a world class MC. Having been featured on ABC, NBC, NPR, PBS, and performances at the Sundance Film Festival this dude is on his grind. His unique experience as a japanese american provides him with perspective on hip hop and what it means to be an american. His words challenge the human condition, aiming to inspire and unite. If Hip-Hop is has no limits G emobides it in every word he spits. Having just dropped his first fully japanese track “Buri Buri” the MC breaks down the power of lyrics, and how they can affect you even if you don’t know what is being said. Amen Ra gives us a throwback to the good ol’ Timbaland days and G provides the crew with a surprise freestyle that is a must listen. This episode is lit, download and subscribe now!

GIANT EGYPTIANS IN THE BUILDING!

Being an independent artist isn’t easy. You may have the talent and the work ethic but at the end of the day a good lawyer in your corner is important. In this very special (i.e. educational) episode, the TB&P crew dive deep into the wonders of art law with Hardeep Grover of TRESQUIRE Legal Services.  Hardeep breaks down the complexities of contracts and talks about how you can find a lawyer to help you achieve your goals as an artist. When you think of lawyers you think of boring old guys, but Hardeep always keeps it 100.

Think canibus is legal in DC? We discuss the growing landscape of Canibus law in DC and around the country. The laws aren’t what they seem. Some other things are here too bro… Gigglefoot drops the first installment of FAKE NEWS and Amen Ra keeps the beats flowing.

Lastly, what does Tresquire even mean? These lawyers man, I tell ya.
