There's going to be a Wedding!

I. Wise disciples are prepared for the wedding. v. 1-5

II. Wise disciple are prepared for unexpected delays. v. 6-9

III. Wise disciples live with an eternal perspective. v. 10-13

It will Be Later...(vvs. 11-14)

It will be Bad...(vvs. 20-27)

The “Topsy-Turvy” Kingdom of Heaven (vss. 13-16)

We are managers of true riches in Jesus’ kingdom

I. We are shrewd towards managing true riches (v.8b-12)

II. We serve Jesus alone as our true riches (v.13)

III. We receive true riches by grace (v.14-17)

Reflection Questions:

1) What do you cling to besides Jesus as true riches? What do you think might ultimately fulfill you more than Jesus? What is something that, if it was taken away, would cause you to believe that your life has less meaning or fulfillment?

2) Do you really live as if the riches Jesus provides are given by grace rather than earned by works? Do you judge yourself and others according to the standard of the cross? Do you think you can earn or lose the love of God based on your actions?

Faith initiatives that are others-centered

Faith initiatives that are willing to embrace risk & cost

II. We see God do “extraordinary” when by faith we push beyond “ordinary”
