"Nepali Floods" by Steve Adams
On August 26, the world learned of a catastrophic flood that tore through Nepal.  As the videos came in on that fateful day last month, my heart sank as the realization began to set in how utterly devastating this event was and how many lives would be lost.  I too wondered if the people I knew were okay.
I spoke with a close friend via video chat.  He told me that thousands are dead or missing and thousands more displaced and cut off from supplies.  Because this event severed the East West roads between Kathmandu and Pokhara, fuel and food is not getting through and whole districts are now isolated due to flood damage and terrain limitations.
I have been humbled to have received countless calls from people who know I spent time in Nepal.  These people want to know if I am okay and if my friends are affected.  There is so much we can complain about in our world, but I am comforted that the shared compassion of humanity is still universal.

Jabbed, then died. 
When the COVID-planned demic erupted in 2021, my doctor ordered me to get a COVID vaccination. So I asked my epidemiologist who accompanies me on trips to Africa, should I get the vaccine? He said, no, I didn't. You shouldn't either.So my friends and clients got the vaccination and four of my clients lost their wives within weeks after being vaccinated. Patricia Lidle, who was with the WHO, World Health Organization, got the vaccination. And she reports that afterwards she had a racing heart, swollen face, hands and feet, every nerve in her body shrunk with pain, a migraine that lasted eight years.She's completely deaf in her right ear. Sept 30 Ayatollahs and other barbarians
In 1980, Ayatollah Rula Khomeini, after winning the revolution against the Shah, executed 17 of his advisers. That often happens when dictators are put into power by the people who could also take them back out of power. Stalin had his supporters executed.So did Hitler. So did Castro. And so did Khomeini.Such men are totally ruthless. Now, to believe that Iran's president, who spoke at the United Nations next week, is next. He didn't look like a president.He looked like a hostage, delivering the lines that the Ayatollahs ordered him to deliver. Of course, they're holding his family in Iran hostage, so he has to go back, even if it means his death. But that's the way barbaric dictators work, and they need their useful idiots, like American liberals, to support them.

Sept 29 The AC/DC AI Hoax

We-re hearing now that AI is gonna kill us. It reminds me back in the late 19th century when Thomas Edison was at war against Nikola Tesla. Edison advocated for DC to recur, which flows in one direction and it was the standard in the early days of electricity. Tesla developed AC, alternating current, which reverses directions millions of times a second. Edison launched campaigns to discredit AC, claiming it was dangerous. He conducted public demonstrations where he electrocuted animals to illustrate his point, that he lacked scientific backing. Today, both currents coexist. AC remains the dominant form for power distribution. Well, DC is essential for modern electronics. But the people involved in this battle, like Bernie Sanders, he doesn't even know how to operate a comb. Maybe Bernie should ask AI.

Sept 28 Why trust the Govt with AI
I use artificial intelligence every day in my office, sometimes for charts, sometimes for research. But the brouhaha of how AI is going to kill us all in 10 years reminds me of all the other hoaxes that we've survived. The COVID hoax was the same people who claimed all the polar bears were dying and that if you didn't wear a face mask, you were going to kill everybody. How'd that work out for COVID? The global warming hoax, then Russia, Russia, Russia hoax. Do you remember the Y2K hoax that on midnight January 1, 2000, the entire world was going to disintegrate. Now we're told that we're all going to die if we don't give our government control of AI. These loons don't even tell us how AI is going to kill us, just that it will, and that we should shut up and trust the government. As for me, I don't think so. "The Threshing Machine" by Steve Adams

My sister recently posted a picture of our family proudly displaying an old McCormick-Deering threshing machine at a local Steam Meet.  The photo shows a clear day with my sisters perched on the old machine and dressed in straw hats and overalls.  I can be seen as a 16 year old driving the Farmall H into the parade line.

The photo looked quaint and nostalgic, but as I looked, I remembered the work it took to get the machine ready and the back road trip from the farm to the event.  For us kids, the thrill of showing that antique machine was thrilling at the time, but I am also sure that the older folks who actually used them saw something completely different!

Seeing old machines in a parade or the photos of that are a wonderfully clear way to remember the past, but they also can remind you of how much life has changed.  When that photo was taken, I could not have foreseen walking through a rice field in Kohalpur, Nepal…

What do Timothy McVey and Ilhan Omar have in common? After McVey bombed the federal building in Oklahoma City in 1995, he was stopped by a state trooper 64 miles north in another county when the trooper noticed McVey's car did not have license plates. 
Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar lied on her immigration and naturalization paperwork. She is one of 435 House members. She stands out for her hatred of America and Americans. Now she is under investigation for immigration fraud and may be deported. 
The moral? If you have committed crimes, don't bring attention to yourself.
