Democrats weaponized the DOJ and arrested 1500 people who were in the Capitol on January 6 2021, even though the great magority did nothing that could constitute an insurrection. Those Democrats are doing the real insurrection! California’s Governor Newsom signed laws banning ICE agents from wearing masks just so they can be identified, tracked down, and their families and the ICE agents terrorized - or killed. Same with Illinois Governor Pritzker and New York Governor Kathy Hoschul where criminals are released right back into the communities. Nancy Pelosi said local police may arrest federal agents for violating state law, even the federal law supersedes state law on immigration. But they’re doing it anyway. ICE agents are being banned and Democrat district attorneys are releasing rapists, murderers, and traffickers.

“Hall of Fame” by Steve Adams
 We have a large adopted family and my goal was always to inspire the kids to become amazing people.  
 I remember hearing a song way back titled, “Hall of Fame”.  In the lyrics, listeners are encouraged to be students,  teachers, leaders, astronauts, champions and truth seekers with the promise that “the world's gonna know your name
 And you'll be on the walls of the Hall of Fame”
 I told the kids that becoming famous was not the point, but that doing your best would earn respect and success and that those would be the “Hall of Fame” they should strive for.
 Today, they are doctors, engineers, pilots, actors, teachers and entrepreneurs and it occurred to me last evening that they all did exactly what that song was about.  Their names are not flashed across a TV screen, but in their own special ways, they have made and are making lives better.
 So many things in society are designed to tear us down or weaken our Spirit, but providing hope and vision to a child pays dividends

Some members of my church and I attended the rally on January the 6th 2021 on the Plaza of Washington DC. We didn’t get near the Capitol Building. I’m sorry for those who did. So many of them were tracked down, thrown in prison for years, and the US Constitution was simply ignored. Something I noticed while I was there was Antifa provocateurs. Several of them admitted that they were Antifa, earning $45 an hour. But Antifa is more than just inciting riots. You see some of the videos of people leaving Trump rallies, and getting beat up by Antifa thug. Truly madding! 
 But now Antifa criminals can be prosecuted for their crimes. On October 15th a federal grand jury in Northern District of Texas indicted two men who were part of the North Texas Antifa cell. I’m 81 years old, and I still work full time. There’s a couple of reasons why.  1. I love my work! I’m a financial planner and I love my clients.  2. Retirement is not a biblical concept, except as punishment. 3. Investment income isn’t enough to support the charities I love, especially my medical missions in Uganda. Well, those are pretty straight up reasons that I’m still working. But I’m still criticized by liberals telling me what my motives really are. I’m just trying to feel good about myself. I’m trying to create a nice public image. And even though most of the people I help are not white, I’m called a racist. But if think I have a bad, I think about President Trump and the No Kings rally. Mr Trump just loves America. Everything he’s doing is on our behalf. Why don’t the liberal do-nothings leave US doers alone?

My ancestors arrived here from Germany, and the first thing they did was learn the English language. Did you know there were more Germans that founded America than English? But our Founding Fathers had a vote: “Do we speak English or German?” German lost by only one vote, but it was decided by our founders that we should speak a common language. Assimilation, a common language, and a Judeo Christian worldview was thought to be the strength that would make America a great country. And it was. But now multiculturalism seems to be what is in vogue. Diversity, equity, inclusion, is thought to be a strength. Problem is, that’s never happened in history. And America is slowly dying because too many people have accepted this slow death, thinking it would be the nice thing to do.

A couple of weeks ago I talked about an illegal alien who was hired as a truck driver. But he couldn’t read road signs, he didn’t know the laws, and he killed an entire family in Florida. Then last week an illegal alien truck driver killed a family in California. Witnesses said that he was barreling his big rig down the Expressway, and there were a lot of cars in front of him that had to come to a stop. Unfortunately he didn’t come to a stop. His big rig crushed a number of cars, and he killed another family. Many years ago I read the words of Sir John Ruskin: “There’s hardly anything that someone can’t make worse and sell for cheaper. And whoever buys my price alone is that man’s lawful victim. Trucking companies are paying less for illegal aliens to drive their trucks. But unfortunately they aren’t the ones who are paying the price.

“Nostalgia” by Steve Adams
 As a young teen, food was a primary motivator for me. 

Our farm was about 30 minutes from town and, as I grew older, mom would allow me to go my own way while she looked for sewing supplies.

One of my favorite places was a nationally franchised ice cream store advertising 31 flavors.  Everything they had was amazing.  One discontinued flavor stood out though and it is one that I remember today, nearly 50 years later.  It was Rum Cherry Trifle.

I was in town yesterday and saw one of the stores again. I just had to stop in.  I settled on Lemon Custard and Baseball Nut.  Both were amazing but they were not the flavor I remembered from so long ago.  To this day, I do not know what was so good about Rum Cherry Trifle, the cherries, the crunchy morsels in the ice cream or maybe just the fact that it had the word “rum” in the name.

While that flavor is long retired, the sense of Nostalgia the visit brought yesterday was amazing!
