Michael Coteau is a Canadian politician who has served in various positions in multiple levels of government. Some of his top accomplishments include:

Creating the Ontario Black Youth Action Plan: As Minister of Children and Youth Services, Coteau developed the Ontario Black Youth Action Plan, which aimed to address the systemic barriers and discrimination that Black youth face in accessing services and opportunities.

Implementing the largest expansion of licensed child care in Ontario's history: As Minister of Children and Youth Services, Coteau oversaw the expansion of licensed child care in the province, which included creating 100,000 new child care spaces.

Introducing the Free Tuition Program: As Minister of Advanced Education and Skills Development, Coteau implemented the Free Tuition Program, which provided free tuition for eligible low- and middle-income students in Ontario.

Supporting affordable housing initiatives: As Minister of Community and Social Services, Coteau was instrumental in supporting affordable housing initiatives in the province, including the creation of a new affordable housing framework.

Championing diversity and inclusion: Throughout his career, Coteau has been a vocal advocate for diversity and inclusion, and has worked to promote policies and initiatives that advance these values in Ontario.

Gulshan Allibhai, BSW, MSW, has been practicing social work for 22 years and is a social entrepreneur.  Gulshan was born in Uganda, Africa, and came to Canada as a refugee in 1972. Due to her own and her family’s experience as refugees, Gulshan’s main focus and interest is in the area of mental health and resettlement stress. She advocates for culturally competent services for newcomers in the area of employment and mental health.
