In this episode of Tea With Tayler I discuss the following questions: (1) Does America have a progressive tax system? (2) Who pays the majority of taxes in America? (3) Should the rich pay more in taxes? Or as politicians like to say 'their fair share'?. I review the latest Federal Income Tax published in February 2020, historical tax rates and their impact on the economy. 

In this episode I discuss the unconstitutional $15.00 federal minimum wage that is being pushed. I make the argument that this mandate would hurt the people they claim to want to help. Why? Just because the government forces a higher wage, doesn’t mean businesses have the financial capability to pay that wage. Their budget doesn’t just magically change bc they government says so.

So what happens? Lets get into it.

In this episode of Tea With Tayler I break down how I went from paying $1,100 a month in rent, to having tenants help pay for an asset that I own. I will explain how I got into real estate investing, how I purchased first property, how I find and pick my tenants, and how I run my numbers. For some insight: I own a 2 unit building where I live in the top unit and I rent out the bottom unit.

In this episode of Tea With Tayler I discuss what I’ve come to believe and how it has influenced my politics. Unpopular opinion: “don’t talk politics or religion” is  abad take. Rather, maybe we should have learned how to have conversations and civil debates on these topics with those we disagree.

Maybe if we learned this skill we wouldn’t live in such a cultish society. And it is  a skill to be learned. Humans are cultish by nature.
