Teach Music Online

Paul Sarafin has over sixty online students. His primary instrument is guitar and he teaches using the Suzuki Method. Paul is also a member of our TMO community and has created a music application called Music Nest. I wanted to invite Paul to an interview because I think teachers need to hear about this amazing tool. It's different from other tools out there that I've seen! Furthermore, Paul has a big heart and an incredible background teaching the Suzuki Method for guitar. He has a lot of wisdom to share about running a successful online studio.

Today’s episode is from a recent interview I did with Nikki Loney on her podcast, the Full Voice Podcast. In this interview Nikki and I chat about the challenges and wins that come from running an online music studio. We also talk about the importance of having a growth mindset as you build your career as a music teacher. Nikki Loney works with music education specialists, children’s composers, and musicians to create music education resources for young vocal students. Carol Matz is a dear friend of mine. We have collaborated on projects and webinars many times over the last few years. You may know her as the creator of the Interactive Piano Method which has been my go-to method for several years now. She has worked with Alfred and FJH and many of the big publishing companies. Most recently Carol has created two courses helping piano teachers learn how to compose. She has two courses, For teachers who want to compose, and for teachers who want to arrange.
