Teaching of the Week

In his 2012 visit to AHOP, Fr. Peter sat down with staff and leadership at our request, to talk about liturgy and liturgical prayer. We knew we needed to change our core prayer model from Harp & Bowl to one that would be accessible to both Catholics and Protestants … but we didn’t know how to do it. Thus the request.

What Fr. Peter shared in this and a subsequent talk, were some of the seeds for developing our current Bridge Prayer model. Thank you, Fr. Peter!

Vladimir Pikman is a leading Messianic Jewish rabbi in Berlin, who also teaches at Dallas Theological Seminary. In this short talk, given at a TJCII dinner in Dallas on 3 November 2016, he wonderfully weaves together themes from Ephesians 2 and John 17.

On March 8, 2026, Jayson Knox gave a sermon at Hope Chapel entitled "The Purposes of God" - in which he spoke on the theme of love. It was a beautiful discourse!

Brie Tschoepe has requested that we watch / listen to this sermon to prepare for our upcoming retreat on the topic of Love. Homework :-)

After an introduction by Amy Cogdell, we hear three testimonies of hope from CTR community members: Phillip Owens, Diana Durant, and Clinton Scroggins.

Amy was invited to address the 2026 North American Network conference, on the topic of prayer. She spoke in Augusta, Georgia, where the conference was being hosted by the Alleluia Community. Her talk was given on February 28, 2026.

The second teaching of three in the Prepare the Way series, given at the Antioch Network Gathering in Austin Texas on 4 November 2025.

In this teaching, Thomas walks through one view of the history of Antioch Network, showing how the Holy Spirit has led us into the work of missions and reconciliation, which prepare the way for the return of the Lord in glory. Since CTR is a relational member of Antioch Network, it is good for community members to understand what Antioch Network is, and how the history has shaped us (and in some cases, been shaped by us!).
