  • Teachers, Reset Without Calling The Day A Loss

The lesson was landing. They were with you. Then the phone rang.

Four minutes later, the lesson was still there, but the feeling was gone. And by the time the bell rang, you had already ended the whole day in your head.

Teachers, getting pulled away is part of teaching. It’s not proof that you failed to protect your focus. But a lot of us carry an all-or-nothing rule we’ve never said out loud: if the plan breaks, the day is ruined.

This week, I continue our October theme, Keep the Focus the Focus, by building one skill: resetting. We look at why an interruption can end long before its impact does, and why your mind doesn’t always catch up just because you moved to the next task. Then we talk about how to return to what still matters without letting one hard moment take the rest of your day.

Listen in for three simple questions that help you come back faster.

And when the day is over, don’t take all of it home with you. Grab my free Teacher’s Get-Out-the-Door Guide, a 10-minute end-of-day reset:

  • Teachers, Protect What You Choose.

You decided what mattered today. You really did.

So why are you looking at the same unfinished thing at the end of the day?

Teachers, choosing a priority is only the first decision. The school day keeps reopening it. An email shows up looking urgent. A coworker needs a minute. Guilt shows up the moment you close your door. And every time, what you chose has to win all over again.

This week, I continue our October theme, Keep the Focus the Focus, with three words: stop re-deciding. We look at why the day keeps handing you good reasons to reconsider, what it costs when every interruption gets a chance to become the priority, and how to protect what you chose long enough to actually give it your attention.

Listen in for the one line that keeps your decision made: I already decided.

And when the day is over, don’t take all of it home with you. Grab my free Teacher’s Get-Out-the-Door Guide, a 10-minute end-of-day reset:

  • Teachers, Everything Does Not Deserve Equal Access

Everything Does Not Deserve Equal Access

How many things asked for your attention today?

Not how many things you got done. How many things asked you to stop, turn, answer, fix, or carry them?

Teachers, a lot of what reaches for you during the day is legitimate. Some of it really does need you. But somewhere along the way, everything that asks started getting in.

This week, I open our October theme, Keep the Focus the Focus. This isn't a month about getting more organized or squeezing more into your day. It starts with one question most teachers never get the space to ask: who or what has been deciding where your attention goes?

Listen in for the difference between what's asking for you and what actually needs you right now.

And when the day is over, don't take all of it home with you. Grab my free Teacher's Get-Out-the-Door Guide: a 10-minute end-of-day reset with five decisions and a clear place to put down what isn't finished.

  • Teachers, Trust What You Have Already Proven

I did not record last week's episode. And for a minute, I let that mean more than it should have.

That is exactly where we start as we close out September.

One hard day. One lesson that falls flat. One tense conversation with a parent. It is so easy to let a single moment outweigh everything else you have already proven. This week, Kim brings the final piece of Stronger Than You Realize together: why one difficult day does not cancel the evidence, and how to actually trust what you already know.

This is the one to listen to before your next hard day convinces you otherwise.

    We’re not here to fix.

If this helped, pass it to another teacher who might need it.

  • Teachers, Strength Does Not Always Feel Strong

You solved a problem today and did not even stop to notice.

You recovered from something that did not go according to plan. You managed your own feelings while still showing up for a student who needed you. You figured something out on the spot, without a plan, without help, and moved right on to the next thing.

None of it felt like strength while it was happening.

This week, Kim continues Stronger Than You Realize with a simple shift: what if the moments that felt too small to count were actually you showing strength?

Listen in before you talk yourself out of what you already did today.

    We’re not here to fix.
    We’re here to notice.

If this helped, pass it to another teacher who might need it.

  • Teachers, You Already Did The Hard Part

Something happened this month that most teachers will never stop to notice.

The thing that felt impossible in August is not impossible anymore. The routine that used to take everything out of you barely registers now. And your mind already moved on to whatever feels hard today.

This week, Kim opens a new month called Stronger Than You Realize with a simple question that most teachers walk right past: what used to feel hard that you are doing right now without even thinking about it.

This is not about doing more. It is about finally seeing what you have already built.

Listen in for the proof you have been overlooking.

    We’re not here to fix.
    We’re here to notice.

If this helped, pass it to another teacher who might need it.

  • Teachers, You Get To Adjust What You Built

You made a plan for this year. You thought about your routines. You decided what would be permanent and what would be temporary.

Then you actually started living inside it.

Now you can see which routines are working and which ones are not. You can see where time is disappearing. You can see what felt important during planning but is not actually helping.

So what do you do with that information?

    In this episode:

    • Why something not working does not mean you failed to plan
    • Where to look for the first place your space started to disappear
    • What it looks like to make a small adjust

    We’re not here to fix.
    We’re here to notice.

If this helped, pass it to another teacher who might need it.

  • Teachers, Make Space Part of the Blueprint for this Year.

You planned it all out perfectly. Every hour accounted for. Every moment has something in it.

And then you actually go to work.

A conversation runs longer than expected. A student needs something. An email lands. And suddenly your perfect plan has no room for any of it.

So something gives. And most of the time, what gives is you.

    In this episode:

    • Why a full schedule is not the same as a sustainable one
    • The difference between space you get and space you build
    • Where to start creating breathing room before everything gets tight

    We’re not here to fix.

  • Teachers, Build Your Foundation On Purpose

The temporary decisions you made in week one? They're still happening.

You answered an email at night just that one time. You stayed a little later just to get things done. You said yes to something you weren't sure about. All temporary, right? But somewhere between week one and now, temporary became routine.

And here is the thing—you didn't decide that on purpose.

Your foundation is being built one choice at a time. The question is: are you building it intentionally, or are you letting it build itself?

    In this episode:

    • Why your foundation matters way more than your classroom decor
    • How temporary choices quietly become permanent patterns
    • What you get to decide about what does and doesn't stay

    We’re not here to fix.
    We’re here to notice.

If this helped, pass it to another teacher who might need it.

  • Teachers, Your Are Building More Than A Classroom in August

    August isn't preparation. It's construction.

You walk back into your building and realize something: you inherited this year. The calendar is locked. The initiatives are decided. But here's the thing—you inherited the system. You didn't inherit your response to it.

So what are you actually building in August? And more importantly—is there room for you in it?

    In this episode:

    • What you're actually building in August (hint: it's not just your classroom)
    • How small decisions become the framework of your entire year
    • Why the blueprint that matters most is the one that starts with you

    We’re not here to fix.
    We’re here to notice.

If this helped, pass it to another teacher who might need it.

    Until next time…

give yourself the same care you give everyone else.
