Every mankind is classified into three different categories: 

(1). The natural man - 1 Corinthians 2:14

(2). The spiritual man -1 Corinthians 2:13-16

(3). The carnal man - 1 Corinthians 3:1-3

Every Christian must examine themselves to know whether they have an appetite for spiritual understanding or not. A spiritual man is not known by how he desires to eliminate the flesh but by how much control he has over his flesh. 

A spiritual man is made or molded by spiritual education, which refers to the philosophy of Christ, the wisdom of God, and ideologies of heaven.

Why Should We Emphasize Spirituality? 

(1). The spiritual world is far greater than the physical world. 

(2). The spiritual world, in a sense, largely controls the physical world. 

(3). The spiritual world is more permanent than the physical world (2Cor.4:18) 

(4). Particularly as believers, we're born of the Spirit (John 4:24)

 What Spirituality is not: 

(1). A spiritual man is not someone so obsessed with heaven and becomes irrelevant on earth. 

(2). A spiritual man is not a mystical, an unreasonable and illogical man. 

(3). A spiritual man is not superstitious and does not blame everything on spiritual forces 

(4). The spiritual man is not constantly and excessively churchy in location, verbal expression and demeanor. 

To be spiritual is to live godly as human beings, to be controlled by the Holy Spirit and that everything being done in human existence, be acceptable to God.

As Christians, we must be deliberate about what we open our ears and mind to. The reason relationships are toxic is because of what we're exposed to; giving ourselves to the learning of scriptures enables us to enjoy healthy relationship with God and people.

Luke 1:52

As believers, there are three views we should have about Jesus primarily:

Jesus as the Creator (Colossians 14-16) Jesus as the Mediator (1Timothy 2:5)

Jesus grew in wisdom, influence, popularity and favour with God, and men; you must learn how Jesus grew.

How Jesus Grew:

– He allowed patience to take its full cause; as a believer, you must follow Jesus' pattern by being patient with the process.

– His priority was primarily and fundamentally to please God and not men, you must prioritise God over anything/anyone (John 8:29).

– He learnt the way of God and practically applied it in every day of life, (Hebrews 1:8-9; Matthew 5:16).

– He was a solution provider who genuinely loved others and did not use people (Proverbs 19:6).

– He went through various stages of obedience to God that compelled Him to have endearing power of influence (Philippians 2:8-9) Every phase of obedience is a step to influence ( Hebrews 2:9, Hebrews 12: 2)

1 Corinthians.13:4-7

 Many people try to separate God from sexual conversation because they feel God is too holy to be involved or they think sex is natural or regular thing that happens. However, one cannot be bible believing and suggest that God is not involved in sexuality (1Cor.7:1-6&36). 

The Scripture does not suggest sex as a sin, rather, it affirms marriage as the legitimate way for sexual gratification. God is the creator of all sexual organs in human body, as such, He cannot be separated from sexual matters; He is the only One with the right to decide what or what not to do with the body.

All the instructions given by God for sexual purity and control are for the good of man and for the preservation of the sanctity of the society (1Cor.6:15-16). Also, the Bible placed emphasis on how to deal with sexual sin (1Cor.5:1-11; 1Cor.6:18-19).

The Christians' approach to sexuality should be what the Scripture commands. For homosexuality, the Word of God calls it Abomination, while it affirms humans having sexual intercourse with animals to be Confusion (Lev.18:21-23).

Sexiness is not compatible with Christianity. What is called sexiness in this world is what the scripture describes in Proverbs.11: 10 -13 as attire of an harlot and an impudent face.

Family and Marriage issues not being addressed today include 

– Poor Parenting 

The average Christian parent is very familiar with biblical phrases like "Children Obey Your parents" (Eph 6:1) but very few are familiar with the biblical instructions that God gives to parents (Eph 6:4). One of the responsibilities of parents is to live and lead by examples for the children. 

– The Lack of Boy Training 

Leadership is very essential to every societal success. Many more homes will be healthy and safe if boys are trained better. 

– Feminism 

Let it be clear that according to scriptures, male and female are equally made in the image of God. However, many females grew up under terrible leaders that makes them dread the idea of submission, but they must heal and embrace their God given roles if their marriages will ever work. 

– Divorce and Remarriage 

Divorce was never God's will but it may be the only option sometimes. God hates divorce, primarily because of its effect on the wife and the children (Malachi 2:10-16).

Divorce is not the unpardonable sin. There are legitimate grounds for divorce and separation. No one should use the phrase "God hates divorce" as an excuse to continue maltreating a spouse.

Lessons Learnt From The First Marriage: 

– In the case of the first couple, the spirituality of marriage was seen and so, Church should be involved in blessing marriages. 

– Both Adam and Eve were adults and in a sense, they made a choice. This also affirms the importance of attraction in making marital choices (Gen.2vs22-23; Gen.24vs57-58). 

– The first marriage taught us that Adam was equal to Eve and vice versa. However, it also teaches the principle of submission and authority for the sake of orderliness. 

–One of the purpose of marriage learnt from the first couple is companionship and procreation, but more importantly, for Kingdom advancement through godly seeds.

Education, by far, is the greatest influence in our generation and the people educating the next generation are the powerful people because whoever teaches/whatever the mind is opened to, will shape and determine one's life and destination.

The subject of love is a universal subject that applies to all humanity, that will always be taught and learnt but the teacher will always determine the definition, implication, application and emphasis of the subject, and so it is more important that love be taught by the right person.

What The Bible Teaches About Love: 

– Love begins with God (1John 4:7-8&19). God's exclusive possession is love.

– You have to show love of God the way God truly loves, which is clearly shown in the scripture (Ephe 5:2&25; Rom 5:8; Luke 6:27-36).

– God's love is not fundamentally feeling or emotional attachments but a decision and commitment for the benefit of others. God's love is a sacrificial expression that saves, aid and helps (Rom. 13:8-10).

– How to love God is to serve, fear Him and walk in His way (1John 5:3; Matt. 24:12; Deut. 10:12; Deut. 11:1).

– The love of God warns, rebukes, chastise and punishes accordingly (Prob.3:12; Prob.13:24; Heb.12:4-8).

Over the teachings about The Lord's Favour, it has been concretely established that God is favourable to all men. However, the Lord's favour can be maximized if we live in the reality of what has been received. 

A typical instance is a Believer who has received the Lord's favour through Salvation, he will only maximize the favour by continuous walking in the supernatural realities of what has been received. 

▪️How To Maximize The Lord's Favour: 

– Give yourself continually to prayers (Ephesians 2:12-19; James 5:13-18). 

–Expose your mind to right things of the Scripture, the teachings of the Bible (1 Corinthians 2:10-16; 2Timothy 3:15-16; Galatians 4:1-2). 

–Be committed to the local church, which is the Lord's favour environment (1 Corinthians 12:12; Ephesians 4:16). 

–Come out of hiding and become visible (Matthew 5:16; Luke 4:14). 

–Be beautifully packaged and acceptable (Daniel 1:4). 

–Be confident and assured, to lack confidence is to minimize the Lord's favour.

The word 'Favour' in Hebrews is "Chen", which means graciousness, elegance and acceptance (Genesis. 6:8) while the Greek word is " Charitoo", which means to make grace full, to be lovely, agreeable and to endue with special blessings. 

Although God is constantly gracious and favourable to all men, the Lord's favour works in specifics. 

The necessity of the Lord's favour works in different dimensions such as favour of provisions, favour over competitors and favour that makes one receive help from strangers. 

▪️How To Experience The Lord's Favour: 

–Constantly walk in obedience (Gen.6:5-14) 

–Separation from the world by not conforming to the pattern of the world (Esther 2:15; Esther 3:1-8; Daniel 1:8) 

–Have a burden for God's Kingdom and Purpose (Nehemiah 2:1-8) 

–The Audacity of Faith (John 11:41-42).
