In this message from Team Church Conference, Pastor Kevin sits down with Charlotte Gambill to talk about leadership challenges.
Here at Team Church, we talk about culture often. Now more than ever before, being a culture carrier matters. Culture is either created by design or by default.
Here are some questions we will discuss in this episode today:
We encourage you to continue the conversation and discuss these questions even further with your teams!
Team Church Code
We've started an important conversation that represents some new language for church leaders today. On the last episode, we talked about how leadership rises and falls on three distinctives. These three things are leadership essentials you'll never get away from. Everything will fit under these three areas when it comes to being an effective leader.
In this episode, we're going to focus on Core Competence. These are the fundamental skills and practices of a great leadership team. Let's dive into these areas and discover how we can improve both individually and collectively as a team.
In this team church episode, we’re going to talk about what we refer to as the three leadership distinctives. Everyone's leadership capacity will rise and fall on these three things: Character, Core Competency, and Culture. If we can talk about these core issues and get these things right, we will see stronger leaders, stronger teams, and ultimately stronger churches.
Questions to ask yourself:
What are some character issues that you can work on in yourself?
What are some core competencies that are alive in your team and in yourself?
What is some of the culture by design that is working? What are some that need to be addressed?
We’re leading and building churches in a season where it seems like no one wants to work. It's a season that’s now well known as “The Great Resignation”. When people have negative ideas or attitudes about work, their life tends to be more difficult, less enjoyable, and they have fewer opportunities. But when people embrace work with a positive attitude their life tends to be more full, more enjoyable, and they will have greater opportunities for God to bless them, promote them and prosper them. Let's learn how to lead healthy teams that serve the greatest mission on the planet.
Today's conversation is bold and challenging. This is a topic that must be addressed by Kingdom leaders. There is a difference in the world's approach and the church's approach to the topic of skin color and ethnicity. There is truth and wisdom when we take a Biblical view on this subject. Join Pastor Kevin as he sits down with Pastor Lonnie Keene to discuss Kingdom + Race on this month's podcast episode.
Courage is not optional.
Our culture is suffering from truth deprivation and a growing deception that is so far from the word of God. As leaders, we have a responsibility to speak Biblical truths. There is a real need for leaders of courage to rise in our world today and courage is the way we show our loyalty to the Kingdom of God.
We sat down with Kevin Gerald to talk more about the God-given authority to pastors and leaders in the church to speak up and what leading with courage practically looks like.
Courage is like a muscle. Just like any muscle, it gets stronger when you exercise it and stays weak when you don’t. As we kick off a new year, it's time to get into the leadership gym. Coach K sits down with guests Jason Warman and Dan Lord as they talk about the keys to leading with courage today. It might not be easy. You might not know exactly what to say or do. You might feel scared or lonely in this season, but nobody can do your push-ups for you!
Have you ever felt weary or defeated as a leader?
We sat down with Stephen Chandler and Kevin Gerald to talk about some of the ins and outs of leading during this past and present season. As we close this year and head into the next, this conversation will help you see opportunity in every season, lead with conviction and courage, and speak faith for the future. The best days for the church are ahead.
