Dear Church Family,
Some of the deepest experiences, beliefs, and convictions cannot be expressed with words because somethings need to be shown rather than said. Our faith in and love for Jesus Christ is one of those things.
When Jesus appeared to his disciples, instead of explaining to them who he is, Jesus simply showed them his hands and feet because they carried scars from nail marks.
Jesus cannot be explained away to people but shown. In other words, if our witness as Christians involves only our words, then our witness will always be incomplete. It has to be shown. When we suffer for the cause of the Gospel, when we endure the pain of loving others, when we withstand the difficulties that challenge our faithfulness, we develop in us scars similar to the ones that Jesus had.
You can read more about how the scars we carry in us is an important evidence of our love for and faith in Jesus Christ in this week's sermon entitled, "Scarred Hands and Feet."
I pray for God's continued presence and abundant blessings for you and your family.
Hope to see you all at church soon to worship and fellowship together.
In Christ,
Pastor Park
