Laura Tempesta's Tears & Tulle experience:
To me, this skirt is a metaphor for the life force within us. Contained within our compact bodies is a soul that far exceeds the vessel which contains it. Our personalities are made up of an infinite number of complex, diverse, and intertwined layers. Some of those layers are easily visible near the surface. Others are hidden underneath and can only be discovered after peeling away the outer wrapping. The skirt was easily 4x the size of the box in which it arrived. I was struck by the restriction of the square box, itself a metaphor of the boxes in which we put ourselves, and the untamed skirt, in all its glorious abandon, which emerged from it. The abundance of tulle was an unexpected, delightful, surprise. Each time I thought I’d seen every layer of magnificent color, I dug further and found another. Wearing the skirt was a joyous experience. It allowed me to feel fun and free in a way that I hadn’t experienced since childhood. I expected the skirt to be heavy, but it was light as air, like wearing a cloud – which is exactly how it should feel when we are our true selves, allowing the world to view every shade of our colorful personalities.

Lauren Krzyzynski's Tears & Tulle experience:
Let me tell you, I am far more comfortable behind the camera than I am in front of it. Although I was *thrilled* about my upcoming shoot with my brilliant friend Shawna, I was also experiencing a growing sense of anxiety about being the center of attention...until I unboxed that rainbow tulle masterpiece. As soon as I saw it, all traces of nervousness melted away and a sense of peace washed over me. I could truly feel the love that Cassandra poured into the skirt. Wearing it was an unforgettable experience for which I'm profoundly grateful.
