The founder of Teatro ZinZanni, Norm Langill, says that the show has “always been about joy, laughter, and, most of all, love,…. and is truly a celebration of the beauty that happens when cultures meet, mingle, and make magic together. Chicago, with its incredible immigrant history and diversity, is the perfect home for this story.
The director and one of the stars (and a professional clown in Teatro, the fabulous Joe DePaul notes:” This show is about human connection stories, opportunity, and richness to our community, and if you are a newcomer to Teatro ZinZanni, you will discover that laughter is the fastest way to cross barriers. We’re using comedy, circus,and storytelling to remind people that joy doesn’t need translation.
Joining DePaul for this incredible evening are: Liv Warfield (who plays Madame ZinZanni), a powerhouse singer recognized as the talent she is by the legendary Prince, and as a golden buzzer winner on America’s Got Talent and a Soul Train Award winner.. originally from Peoria, Liv is truly of Chicago’s very own….and very best. Her voice and talent will blow you away.
And, Mariko Iwasa a tap dancer and clown originally from Japan who adds joy and fun to the evening.
