Occasionally I get an email that piques my interest. Some company mass emails people that make podcasts with some concept they claim will help grow their podcast. Most of the time I ignore these emails, but at times I follow through with what is sent over. Will the claim be legit? Will it actually help grow my podcast? I'm not sure. I'm also not stressed about it, either.

The other day the prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints got vaccinated, and it caused a complete meltdown on Twitter. So much so that I had to put my phone down and walk away. Times like this show that social media is probably a net negative on society.

I've had the same friend group since high school, and my wife pointed out that that's not the norm. After having a bit of an existential crisis on if we are weird to still be friends I deemed that I don't care and that I love my friends so much. Sure, our dynamics have changed, and I am close to some people now that I previously was, but I still will cherish these friends.

So many people have a hard time disconnecting from work. Whether they keep checking their email while they are taking time off, or just never take the time off in the first place, often people are always "at work". I don't think this is healthy and is something that needs to change with the current work culture that permeates many industries.

Everyone has to have this discussion. Who's family are we visiting for the holidays? How are we going to make it seem fair to both families? Can we even make it to anyone this year? There oftentimes isn't an easy answer, but hopefully, everyone comes to an understanding of whatever decision has to be made.

Sometimes I feel overwhelmed that I am going to have to teach my son about life, especially because there is so much about life I don't know, and I still have to go to my parents about many things. I hope that I can be a good teacher for him, and I am excited for the day that he can teach me new things as well.
