On today's episode, Raesetje Sefala joins Khanyi for a conversation on data science and AI (artificial intelligence) in Africa. Raesetje is an AI research, currently doing her Computer Science Masters at Witwatersrand University. Her research focuses on creating ground truth datasets and using machine learning to study spatial segregation in South Africa, post-Apartheid. They chat about AI in the context of Africa, putting African research on international tech spaces and why more womxn are not going into the research industry. 

On today's episode, Carin Bowman joins Khanyi for a conversation. Carin is a product owner at Luno which is a bitcoin-related company. She studied computer science and linguistics in South Africa then lived in Japan straight after. Her entry into the technology sector was through e-learning, and has since transitioned through a variety of tech-related industries. This week's conversation is about what she does at Luno, what the cryptocurrency industry is, how it looks in South Africa's context and Africa as a whole and her journey in navigating the tech space including how we should be trying to keep womxn in tech.
