In this special episode of Tech Intersect, I share a replay of my weekly ListenToBlackWomen.com show with co-host Shontavia Johnson, Esq., an IP lawyer, academic and my business partner at LIT Braintrust, LLC.

We cover the NFT beef between Dame Dash and Roc-a-fella Records (RAF). On June 18th, RAF filed a complaint in federal district court in New York against Dash  to prevent him from auctioning an NFT of the copyright in Jay-Z’s iconic album, Reasonable Doubt via a little-known minting and farming platform, SuperFarm.
 
This case involves NFTs and copyrights but it’s mostly a corporate law case. On July 1, Inner City Press live tweeted the Show Cause hearing where Dash's lawyer asked that the preliminary injunction be limited to the album, not a hologram of his corp. interest. In this episode of Tech Intersect, I welcome attorney Dave Rodman to the show. Dave founded the Rodman Law Group in 2014 in response to what he saw as a lack of sophisticated corporate/business law firms serving the cannabis industry because most dealt only on the criminal side and defense work. From that moment he found his own lane, in fact her created it. In this episode of Tech Intersect, I welcome Stefen Deleveaux to the show. Stefen is a Bahamian economist and an authority on blockchain and fintech in the Caribbean. He is President/CEO of the Caribbean Blockchain Alliance (CBA), which is a regional NGO formed to advocate for blockchain technology and to foster its adoption through awareness and education. CBA is supported by major Caribbean blockchain companies. Stefen has led the blockchain education of software developers and has facilitated various hackathons. He continues to push to build cohorts of blockchain developers in the region. Stefen has worked in multi-lateral financial institutions and in grantmaking foundations. He is also a co-founder of the Shift the Culture startup advocacy group, and the Arrowlynk Ventures business incubator, both based in The Bahamas.
