Yadin (@porterdeleon) and Matt Oswalt (@Mierdin) talk with Joe Houghes (@jhoughes ) about his battle with imposter syndrome and some of the ways that he has been able to overcome it.
A Quartz media study indicated that a staggering 70% of people have what has been labeled as imposter syndrome, feeling that they don’t deserve to be where they are in life and a notable study done at Notre Dame University revealed that it’s more pervasive among women than men.
And that’s the theme of our show. Battling that feeling that we should never have been given the opportunities that we’ve worked so hard to prepare for. That one day, in a meeting, in from of our entire team, someone will ask us a question we don't know the answer to or point at us and reveal us as the charlatan we truly are.
