The current challenge is the app's ability to evolve into a daily-use product and compete with Facebook, Messenger, and WhatsApp. All three of these competition will likely ensure they remain competitive with new services, as it is IMVU's number one priority. However, it is important to note that the app has a huge population of users (tens of millions) who do not even want to consider leaving for another app (unlike the other apps we analyze, where we either assume some percentage of people would be lost or argue the app offers so little value that people will abandon).
