The Code Cooperative is a nonprofit organization that aims to help individuals and communities impacted by incarceration find careers in tech. Giovannie talks about how he got involved, starting off as a fellow of the program, and then working with the program to help others.

In this week's episode, we spoke to Joan Westenberg, a writer, tech executive, and occasional tech journalist. Joan speaks to us about creating transgenderinclusion.com which is an open-source project that shares policies and guidelines on how to make your company more inclusive for transgender people. Joan shares a lot of amazing resources in addition to this for how we can all be more welcoming in our tech culture.

In this week's episode we speak to Lee Warrick, a full stack developer from Orlando. Lee has an interesting background having previously been both a firefighter and an ICU nurse before moving into becoming a developer. We speak to Lee about improvements that need to be made in the health care field and what we as developers can do to help modernize tech in the field. We don't need to solve the world's medical problems with code but we can make both patients and healthcare providers' lives easier with some of the suggestions Lee offers in this episode.

In this week's episode Rahat speaks to Matt Trask and J.D. Flynn who are two volunteers working with OSMI(Open Source Mental Illness). OSMI is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation dedicated to raising awareness, educating, and providing resources to support mental wellness in the tech and open source communities. Matt and J.D. talk about their experiences dealing with mental illness and how they got involved with OSMI.

In this week's episode, we speak to Cecelia Martinez about her work with Out In Tech. Out in tech is a nonprofit which unties the LGBTQIA+ tech community by organizing many different events and fostering communities that allow for safe places for members of the LGBTQIA+ to network and meet others like them in tech. Cecelia talks to us about her own experiences coming out as well as taking on a leadership role in the Out In Tech Atlanta chapter.
