This week it's a special gongshow as it's our 50th episode! We talk about the Oculus Rift crash and burn, PUBG and Fortnite's announcements, Super Smash Bros. for the Switch, Octopath Traveller, Mark Hamill because he's awseome, and after that things get weird with John Travolta. Particularly weird.

This week we talk about the grand ideas behind Chronicles of Elyria, Adam defends his position on Battle Royale mechanics like his life depends on it, Jeff gets competitive with Overwatch, 3D Realms brings out Ion Maiden, and some old lady does a faceplant.

We also chat about the response to Scarlett winning IEM Pyeongchang, Paragon shutting down, Subnautica's audio engineer being naughty, Shadow of the Colossus' remake, Black Panther, Venom, Deadpool 2 and more!

This week we "briefly" talk about PUGB's enormous share of 2017's PC game revenue before chatting about Nintendo's upcoming paid for online service, the Game Developers Choice Awards taking back their Pioneer award, and Microsoft's possible acquisition of Valve. Somewhere along the way we take a lovely detour into the #metoo movement, and apparently we're getting a Mario movie? Definitely some other stuff too.

This week we chat about Bioware's struggle to juggle both Anthem and Dragon Age, Sea of Thieves closed beta, Monster Hunter World release, and Over Watch League Drama before getting lost in an off topic discussion. Weird, right?
