Kevin Horner’s Technical Tuesday charts cover the S&P 500 (SPX), Toll Brothers (TOL), and Tidewater (TDW). For the SPX, he says we are not ready to “bust through” 7,000; the index is rangebound, and a breakout either way will tell investors a lot about what’s next. Tidewater has a longer-term pattern shift happening as it hits 52-week highs and thinks it could be setting up a new push higher. Toll Brothers has a “wonderful” move in today’s trading and appears to have broken a cup and handle pattern.
