For this week`s show I introduce you to Andy Tauchert from Germany. Hello, my name is Andrew. I was born in Halle Saxony-Anhalt in 1979. I discovered my love for music at a young age. I gained my first practical experience in the school choir, but I had to give this up due to broken vocal cords. During my time in the ex-GDR, I quickly found my way to electronic music in addition to heavy metal and rock. I was influenced by bands like Kraftwerk, Art of Noise or Tangerine Dream. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, the first techno and trance compilations came onto my shelf. DJs like Westbam, Jeff Mills, Sven Väth and Paul van Dyk shaped me during this time, as did my first Loveparade in 93 and my first big rave in 1994. In 1994 I decided with 2 friends to DJ myself. At that time we still used everything that was available, but always at least one turntable. From 2007 I switched to digital. I played various smaller gigs until 2017 before things really got going in 2018. From Berlin to Kassel, from Rostock to the Czech Republic. Nationally and internationally, the guests were able to get involved in my trip and they did. At that time it was still techno, trance and rave music, but from 2001 the sound changed more into the harder, darker subgenres. In addition to industrial techno, wonky or hard techno, I've been fascinated by the driving hard techno of artists like Cannibal Cooking Club, Chris Rinox or Oliver Rosemann. My sets impress with their versatility and always from the gut. My regular listeners also appreciate this with the weekly Monday beats on Facebook, Youtube and Twitch, which I have been doing since 2019. One always asks what the future will bring. The year 2022 is rather sluggish after Corona. Many “unknown” artists feel the same way. Nevertheless, I'll stay on the ball for you and play as long as I enjoy the music. It should be noted that without my family, who always support me, none of this would be possible.
