Sonya Barlow sits down with Gaelle Koutou to discuss her move from fashion into tech. Gaelle (born and bred in France) has lived across the globe working for large tech companies such as Google, Apple & Oracle. She swiftly shifted from a fashion background, on a whim, to technology - allowing her passions to push through the gaps. As a black womxn in technology, Gaelle is motivated by sharing the stories of those minoritised through her newsletter and using her platform to discuss social movements, such as a black lives matter. In this episode, we talk about the fashion, technology, leading with passion, mass media representation, elevating the voices of black and LGBTQx people and overcoming the stereotypes of networks.
