Aiel Garten is a Canadian artist, scientist and psychotherapist who co-founded InteraXon and created Muse, a meditation biofeedback device that measures your brainwaves while you meditate. In this episode, we discuss how you can measure your brainwaves in meditation and delve into the neuroscience of EEG devices used on advanced meditators. Garten's team is doing some fascinating research on monks in the Himalayas using the Muse headband. When it comes to using biofeedback technology to improve your meditation practice, we're still in the early stages of development, but nonetheless, the Muse is an interesting first-generation meditation wearable to explore.
