Now that I have a few podcast episodes under my belt, I have put in some time to think about not being tied to my office to record a podcast. I know I am going to want to have guest on my shows that can’t come to me to record. This got me thinking about a compact and mobile way to bring recording to my guest. I started looking into digital handheld records and used some resources in podcast groups that I am a member of to determine the best digital record. I was told about the Zoom H5 and it came highly recommend but a $300 (USD) price tag comes with this. I stopped in at my local Guitar Center to talk to sound professionals and I walked out of Guitar Center with the Tascam DR-40 for under $200 (USD). This podcast is my review (and the show was recorded using the Tascam DR-40) of this Tascam product.
