  • Artist Spotlight | The Queen of Disco - Donna Summer
On this episode of MICRO BREAK (Episode 56), we touch on the life and music of the late, great Donna Summer. Donna Summer was a singer-songwriter who became the "Queen of Disco" in the 1970s with such hits as "Love to Love You Baby," "I Feel Love" and "Last Dance."
Donna Summer was born Donna Adrian Gaines on December 31, 1948, in Boston, Massachusetts. Her father, Andrew Gaines, was a butcher and her mother, Mary Gaines, was a schoolteacher. From nearly the moment she learned how to talk, Donna sang ceaselessly. "From the time she was little, that's all she really did," her mother recalled. "She literally lived to sing ... She used to go through the house singing, singing. She sang for breakfast and for lunch and for supper."

  • Stop Planning Your Death, and Start Living Your Life!
Welcome to MICRO BREAK Season 2! On this episode of MICRO BREAK (Episode 55), I touch on a phrase I coined recently. Stop Planning Your Death, and Start Living Your Life! It’s important to plan ahead so that you can put your mind at ease, and trust that your affairs will be in order and handled by someone when you're gone. However, this episode reminds us to also start living our lives and that life is too short! I provide some bucket list items to see and do, and talk intimately with you on the subject of living!
