Usually you have to sacrifice one to optimise for the other two. But to do that, you need to be able to measure all 3 of them in equal scales. In this episode we talk about that.

I have realised that what really makes me happy and content and feel accomplished is to spend more time "producing" or "creating" than consuming. There's a lot to produce. From Youtube videos to blog articles or even creating a painting. Not all things you produce need to be tangible or have any economical 'value', but do you want to spend your whole like just consuming? Or do you want to go out and create?

In a interview of Umberto Eco (by Mukund Padmanabhan), he talks about "empty spaces" and how he uses them to think about his books. I read about this back in 12th grade, but it has had a profound impact in my life.

In the economic food chain, our existence in our professional lives can be classified as one of three things - shopkeeper, servant or performer. Whether you're doing a job, running a company, a sportsperson, an actor, you are either selling products (shopkeeper) or renting out your time (servant) or selling yourself (performer). In the modern world somehow there are so many people in administrative, executive, legislative positions who seem to just want to believe in some sort of technological creation that can be the "solution" to all the problems in the world. The quest for that solution often hinders our vision of the problem itself, and we want to submit ourselves to this non-human "system" and let the solution drive us.
