It's been a horrific few days for Nigerians. The attack at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State resulted in the death of over 50 persons. Gruesome videos flooded the Internet as calls for blood donations were made in the numbers.

The last few years have seen an increase in saddening deaths, kidnappings, and terrorist attacks in Nigeria, and that is one reason US-based logistics company, Zipline launched in Kaduna State, Nigeria on Friday, Jun 3, 2022.

                        • Would you pay to use Twitter?

The prolonged deadline for the linkage came to an end on Monday, April 4, 2022, and caused disconnected subscribers to troop to the nearest National Identification Management Commission’s (NIMC) office to have their lines unbarred. However, many have been unable to link their SIMs as NIMC seems to be unable to verify NINs. According to Premium Times, over 7.5 million MTN subscribers are yet to get their NINs verified by the NIMC.

This is where we began our discussion on today's edition of the Techpoint Africa Podcast.
