  • Bird Buddy Smart Hummingbird Feeder takes flight

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear. I’m Fred Fishkin. We see an awful lot of gadgets and tech here….but the folks at Bird Buddy once again have amazed us with the fun their new Smart Hummingbird Feeder can bring. We got ours towards the end of August when the hummingbirds in our neck of the woods started preparing for their long migration…spending as much time at the feeders as possible. And the new Bird Buddy feeder has been able to capture high quality photos and videos…just like the original Smart Bird Feeder. CEO Franci Zidar..

“ It is a follow on. It is completely rebuilt from bottom up for this case. The only thing that’s the same, basically is the module on the camera, but the feeder itself, also because it is nectar and not seed, it requires a completely different design.”

Well done. Find more info at www.mybirdbuddy.com.

  • Microsoft Copilot + Surface Laptop offering power, convenience and AI smarts

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.   I’m Fred Fishkin.       The age of the Copilot + PCs is
here.    I’ve been looking at the Copilot
+ Surface Laptop from Microsoft  and the
performance and battery life….have been nothing short of amazing.   Easily enough to power through a work day
unplugged.   Rather than the more typical
Intel or AMD processors, these new machines are powered by the Qualcomm
    Snapdragon X Elite chip.   There’s a
dedicated CoPilot key….push it and describe what you would like to create…there
are new Windows Studio Effect and Live Captions.  And the capabilities are really just getting
started with more apps designed to take advantage of the onboard AI processing
on the way.     Recall is the most prominent….coming now
later this year….and it is designed to allow you to search your PC using
natural language.  We’ll have more …in
    the weeks to come.
