It will include workout classes and more data insights for about ten dollars a month. The new Withings Body Scan scale has been FDA cleared for sale in the U.S.. Priced at 400 dollars..it delivers segmental body composition, a six lead ECG is focused on heart health. On the watch front… the ScanWatch 2 adds temperature tacking to ECG and SpO2 functions. And then there’s the ScanWatch Light which includes..

That eclipse will be visible throughout much of the country on the 14th of this month and Celestron has kits for safe viewing that are affordable and easy to use. There are also specialized binoculars and telescopes designed for safety. An annular eclipse produces a ring of fire effect and can be pretty spectacular. Celestron Product Development Manager John Riutta says the equipment can be fun for more than just eclipse viewing…

“Say you’re watching the Weather Channel or you get the daily news update and it says that there’s a sun spot activity going on. Well you can take these binoculars and go outside and look and see what exactly the sun spot activity that’s being mentioned is.”

Features like HDR video and improved stabilization are the headline grabbers. But there are other features too that make the Hero 12 Black better than ever. Tik Tok creators will like the ability to shoot vertical video. And besides the unfolding GoPro mount on the bottom…now there is also a tripod mount. Smart move. And while the cameras are known for video, stills are super too and Global Communications VP Rick Loughery points out …

“One of the things that I love best is pulling frame grabs, so picture stills, from our video. So I can shoot 5K video and pull a 24 megapixel frame grab.”

The tech giant is marking 25 years since Larry Page and Sergey Brin unveiled the search engine designed to help you find what you were looking for on the Internet…ranking and indexing online content. Google’s Sarah Armstrong..says search has come a long way with newer tools like translation and Google Lens….and now comes AI…

“We’re already integrating AI, it’s generative AI, so if you go to Search Labs and try out or search generative experience, you can try out some of those AI tools. I find it really helpful if I just want to pull together some key information on something right at the top.”

And it really is just getting started.

NASA’s OSIRIS ReX mission to bring a sample of rocks back to earth from the asteroid Bennu was an amazing success. And now the scientists will get a look at what was found. NASA’s deputy director of the solar system exploration division is Jamie Elsila Cook…

“So asteroids are materials that were formed right when the solar system formed four and a half billion years ago and so studying them lets us understand the origins of the solar system and also, potentially, the origins of life on earth. So we’re studying both what the asteroid is made of and also the chemical composition of it.”

The research that begins now…really a global effort…will continue for years. And the mission of the OSIRIS spacecraft that carried and sent the capsule back to earth…continues with a trip to another near Earth asteroid.
