Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear. I’m Fred Fishkin. This year we’ll be seeing lots of new tech from most of the usual suspects, Apple, Microsoft, Google and many others. But maybe we shouldn’t always be in a rush to buy the newest devices. In fact…some of the best …get better over time with updates. Google’s Pixel 8 phone…is better now than when it launched nearly three months ago. The new Video Boost feature automatically makes videos better. There’s also a new diagnostic app to help identify any issues should they arise and I and many others really appreciate that Google is promising seven years of software updates for Pixel 8 phones. So they should get better over time…kind of like a Tesla with its over the air updates that customers have enjoyed for years. Hopefully more technology will take a cue …and do that too.
