Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.  I’m Fred Fishkin.  Still on the hunt for cheaper gas?  Google is reminding summer travelers that it offers tools that can help you find the lowest gasoline prices…and find routes to get you from here to there that are more efficient.  Sustainability and Communications Manager Alex Joseph..says simply launch the Google Maps app…

“There’s a gas icon at the top of the app which shows nearby gas stations, but what it also shows is the price per gallon at that gas station.  And this is data that’s updated every 24 hours, so it’s up to date.  You can find the cheapest gas near you and navigate right to that gas station.  If you don’t use Google Maps you can also just search gas price nearby in regular old Google and you can also find that information.”

Don’t use gas?  Google Maps can steer to nearby EV charging stations as well.
