Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.  I’m Fred Fishkin.  Vtech’s new tech toys for kids includes a new KidiZoom Camera that prints photos at an affordable price.  The toymaker has had fun digital cameras on the market for kids for years…but the printing function…using inexpensive thermal paper…will multiply the fun.  Vtech’s Tiffany Lavery..

“You can also play games on it and there are tons of different activities too.  Cause there are coloring pages on there too that you can print with the thermal paper, you can make your photos a coloring book page. We know that kids like to take pictures of like their feet and stuff, so we wanted to make sure that that was really a cost effective way for kids to have that creativity.”

The price works out to about a penny per print.  And the replacement thermal paper is readily available. The KidiZoom PrintCam is priced under 70 dollars.

Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.  I’m Fred Fishkin.   With many students already back in school and others returning soon…  Google is offering resources for teachers, students and parents.  Google’s Marley McAliley there are the typical searches for back to school supplies taking place..along with searches for tutoring…in subjects like math..

“And Google search has this really great resource called The Math Solver where you can actually type an equation into the search bar…something like X square minus 3X minus 4 equals zero…and Google will actually take you step by step in how to solve that equation.”

Not just giving you the answer…but helping you learn.  For online learning situations,  there are also improvements to Google Meet to allow teachers to present while seeing students at the same time.   There are more resources at edu.google.com.
